Harassment was the key concern at work for women in Turkey, with 56 percent saying this was the major challenge in the workplace. The poll finds that 35 percent of women in Turkey say they have faced harassment at work but only 21 percent of these would report it.
When it comes to having a family, 63 percent of Turkish women were confident that having children would not damage their career. However figures show that only about 32 percent of women of working age are in the workforce. Nearly half of Turkish women, or 49 percent, said they were confident they were earning the same as men doing the same job even though World Economic Forum figures showed that Turkey came 16th in the list when G20 countries were ranked by the female to male ratio of estimated earnings.
